Frieda only actually has to write an essay about the Danube, but suddenly she falls into the river. She dives through the underwater world and triggers a conflict between the Danube mermaid and the microorganisms. Since the fight threatens the harmony of the underwater world, Frieda‘s imagination is called upon! Will she manage to think up a new Danube legend and unite creatures of all sizes of the Danube city with a story? ≫Donaustadt≪ intertwines the mythological world of Danube legends with research into microbiological processes. Speech and object theatre, drama and music combine to form an interdisciplinary approach and a story about mythology and an inquiring mind. At SCHAXPIR, hydro_ gives a first insight into the play, which will premiere in autumn at Dschungel Wien and invites the audience to a follow-up discussion.
