BREATHE

≫Breathe≪ recalls the feeling and the memory of collective events, festive joy, ecstasy and the individual in a group. A solo artist on a large soccer field recreates images of collective events and plays with the distance and absence of the surrounding bodies. The large empty outdoor space with its solid geometric forms was the source of inspiration for Milla Koistinen's collaboration with Sandra E. Blatterer, Paul Valikoski and Gregoire Simon. The public are invited to change their positions in the empty sports stadium while the performer deals with tipping points between perceived states and the cavernous relationship between distance and proximity, control and chaos, togetherness and alienation. ≫Breathe≪ invites the audience to relive memories of collective euphoria and joy.
