AMAZONEN

© Franzi Kreis

Once upon a time a group of free women lived, worked and fought on the shores of the Black Sea. They founded a society without any men and called themselves Amazonas. How did this come about? And why did the male heroes of the ancient world react in such an aggressive way? Equipped with lego figurines, landscape models, live video and protest images from the internet, a story-teller embarks on the trail of this myth. ≫AMAZONEN≪ initiates an open dialogue among peers on key topics: Is it justified to use violence to defend ourselves against attacks from outside? How far can we go to defend our own opinion and to protest against (gender) injustices? Who are the Amazons of our time? And what does this all have to do with the Amazonas?
